In the Cognitive Crucible, a blank page is replaced by a dual-pane editor. One side hosts the agentic AI, the other hosts the student's evolving work. Every prompt, every rejection, and every modification is recorded as a "commit" in a local git-like structure.

The "Polish" Phase

The Crucible forces students into the role of an **editor-in-chief**. After the AI generates a baseline, the student must "sculpt" the output. Our engine measures the delta—the physical and conceptual distance between the AI's first draft and the final submission.
